South Hampshire Referees was established in 2022 following the merger of the Eastleigh and Southampton Referees Associations. Our mission is to support and develop referees at every stage of their journeyโ€”whether youโ€™re just starting out, actively officiating, or no longer on the field, we are here for you.

We are proud to welcome referees from all levels of the gameโ€”from grassroots community matches to the semi-professional leagues. Our inclusive and welcoming environment ensures that everyone, regardless of experience or background, feels supported.

What We Do

Throughout the football season, South Hampshire Referees – run monthly development workshops every Monday evening at Chandlers Ford Central Club. These interactive sessions are designed to help you grow in confidence, sharpen your knowledge, and stay up to date with the latest developments from The FA. Highlights include:

In partnership with Hampshire FA, we provide mentoring opportunities to referees, especially those newly qualified. Our mentors are there to offer guidance, encouragement, and feedback to help build your confidence and performance on the pitch.

  • Adult membership: just ยฃ30 per season
  • Under 18 membership: only ยฃ15 per season

Thatโ€™s less than the fee you receive for a single matchโ€”and it gives you access to training, mentorship, guest speakers, networking, and ongoing support.
